  I do not usually write reviews even when Im not completely satisfied, however, I have had my fill with the experience we've had with Bargain Barns. It appears that in the other reviews the customer service was not lacking, but in this case it is terrible. First, apparently my husband is a liar, when he told me several people from Bargain Barns told him the owner welds the building. Which is the main reason I went with this company because I was fairly certain that the job would be done very well. So come to find out, after we do 2 deposits she doesnt weld and the people that are doing the welding are just contractors with this company which posed another problem because apparently they make their own calls and scheduling and Bargain Barns dont follow up. We were told the crew would be out Friday or Monday, those days came and went, no contact. My husband called Tuesday and Jim told him the guys would be out Wednesday. They did come, however, all they did was drop all their equipment off in my yard and did not return until 6 days later. According to them it was raining all the way down there in Noble, so I assume if its raining in Noble its raining in Jones. I called and asked the staff to have someone call me. Jim calls my husband instead. I called him and explained to him that I was very upset about the customer service we received thus far and all he could say is well Im sorry. Really? OK..... So then Hope comes out and does an inspection on the welds and the concrete, which are not acceptable in my opinion. The welds have porosity, lack of penetration, ark marks, in complete fusion, burn through. You name the weld decency its present. The concrete has holes that I witnessed insects coming out of. But according to them its acceptable. I will be asking them to address these concerns in writing and state if there is any failure to the welds or concrete, they will repair or replace it. I do not know if they will do that. To be honest, if I were them I would not write anything of that nature with the work that is present. However, what do I know, Ive just been a weld inspector for the last 10 years.... Finally, after being put through all of this, my husband calls me and states they will be finished tomorrow. By the way they told us it takes about 5 days to complete the building, its been 2. Maybe that's why the welds look the way they do.... Rushing.... Exactly what I told Jim they were going to do, he assured me that was not going to happen.... Now they want me to leave work early tomorrow to do a final walk through. NO! Im not taking off work early at your convenience. I will be off work at 3:30 Friday. So Mr. Jim just called.... asked me, What is it that I want?... Are you serious? I wanted to be told the truth. He expressed that that job was done within the 6-8 weeks like he said it would be. OK except during the job we were told specific things like we will be here certain days ect and that didnt happen. Im irritated because, when you tell someone something, you should do it. I didnt just make up these days and times, How were we supposed to know Hope was the owner and welder if we were not told these things? I dont want a discount or anything for free, which I feel like you think, which upsets me even more. Because you have poor customer service and Im complaining and you are not doing anything to speed up the process, then when the crew rushes and Im not available you assume Im not trying to pay? WOW!!! Especially when you state that you will expect your payment at the end of the walk through. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Have I not paid the other 2 payments as scheduled.... In closing, I hope that NOBODY experiences anything like this. I would hope that everything that happened during this job is a once in a life time kind of experience and nobody has to be treated the way we have been treated. We should have went with our first choice. The Oklahoma Fair is full of barn builders, please do your homework before you make a choice.
